I can have such a short term view of things.  God shows me time and again how constant and faithful He is in every situation: how everything He does in my life is carefully and patiently hand-tailored to bring me closer to His heart.

And yet I pause.  I look around and think “this has been wonderful, but can it really last?”  I stop and think that maybe it is time to “be sensible” and not live so much in hope for the future when the world now can seem so gray.

But then I start to imagine Heaven.  One day, there will be no more room for second-guessing, doubts, and timid sorrows.  Everything, everything, will finally be pure and good and joyful when it is reconciled to Jesus.

I really cannot even imagine things like never, forever, always, and eternity.  I trust in the Lord Who has never failed me, but I sit and stare into space, blinking and wondering how things could be only good all of the time, forever.  Only God could do that, but we know that He will.  His plan has been the same from the beginning.

It is lengthy, but here is a list of one hundred and ten of God’s nevers, forevers, and always. It is a sort of outline of His plan for us from the beginning, to remind us of the faithfulness and goodness of the One Who does not change as He draws us closer to our ultimate home with Him.
